We are all here in Les Gets as normal, but there is virtually no one else around. There is loads of snow but no skiing, and worse of all, very few friends to play with.
It could be something to do with Brexit which is, apparently, going very well with no problems at all. And those people in the US have got rid of the Trump clown. So all should be well. Except for the big-C.
” It’s COVID stupid” say my handlers and it seems that we got here just in time. Since we left, all across Europe they have been getting in a tiz waz about the virus infection which Boris Bluffoon and Dump Trump said was just a passing phase like the flu and that it would all be gone by last spring. Well, it turns out that it has not gone away and has indeed developed numerous mutations which are keeping them on their toes. But while the politicians and medics have to work hard to sort it out in a world beating fashion, they have decided to spoil everyone else’s fun by closing all the borders and stopping travel. So Blue and Grey, and all the other geriatrics, are stuck in Brexitland.
It has gone on for nearly six weeks and there is no sign of things changing anytime soon. Apparently they are all waiting for the vaccine. Why the hell they didn’t do what all dogs have to do and get chipped and vaccinated a long time ago, I will never know. But humans are not that smart.
